  12. I inheritted a 1200 external modem made by a company called EMP,
  13. the modem is called EMP Auto 1200A.  The problem is that it doesn't
  14. seem to be Hayes compatible and there are 8 DIP switches at the back
  15. and I have no idea what they do.

  20. Yes, I have faster modems but I want to use this as a backup dial-in
  21. modem for a Unix system.
