  27. I had the same problem with the PADS-package.
  28. My workaround was to create the necessary directories on my
  29. harddisk (the Install-Programm says which subdirectories
  30. it needs),
  31. copy the self-extracting exec's into the appropriate 
  32. directories and execute them.
  33. Then I called the pinstall - Programm to perform the
  34. hardware setup (Graphics card, Printer, ...)
  35.  
  36. The PADS programms are a great deal for the money ($0.00)
  37. but seem to have some bugs (e.g if you create an bus
  38. in PADS Logic and try to make many connections (>3)
  39. to one signal of the bus, you get an error message which
  40. says something of an 'net name conflict'.
