- people who don't know how to pronounce gnu obviously need to
- listen to flanders & swan (a 1950s-ish uk "review" song duo)
- singing their "gnu song" where the chorus is
-
- "i'm a Gnu, i'm a Gnu
- the Gnicest work of Gnature in the zoo.
- i'm a Gnu, spelt G-N-U,
- call me <??> or okapi and i'll sue
- nor am i in the least,
- like that awful hartybeast,
- oh Gno, Gno, Gno, i'm a Gnu"
-
- where the G's indicate a pronounced G. i've forgotten
- what animal the <??> is and i think i've also missed out
- a couple of lines ... but you get the general idea.
