- First off, RTFM = Read The F-ing Manual :-)
-
- I have not used SL as a SysOp, but I have been on a number of SL boards, and the user
- interface is more than acceptable. SL has been around for a while now - and I suspect
- that - as with all BBS SW - it was written to satisfy the needs/desires of its
- author and was later put into circulation. There are enough BBS software products
- to choose from that you can find one that meets your needs very well.
-
- Someone put a lot of effort into writing SL, and if they're trying to save a little
- money sending you a 720K diskette more power to 'em! It gets very expensive trying
- to keep a small business rolling -- especially a SW business! I mean, you paid
- for BBS SW not a floppy disk, right -- or was the HD disk the deciding factor in your
- purchasing SL???
-
- All I am trying to say is that because a piece of SW doesn't meet your needs, does
- not mean it "sucks." Its incredibly annoying to hear people (and Sysops do this best)
- whine about SW -- If you're really unhappy with the SW - send the author some
- CONSTRUCTIVE critisism. Don't just slam him for selling you a bogus product - and,
- BTW, if it "sucked" so terribly - why did you purchase it??????
-
- Just my $2/100

- A Spitfire Sysop -- Which, BTW, doesn't suck :-)
