  20. This is to announce to the world the existence of the AI_ATTIC. The AI_Attic is an anonymous ftp site maintained at The University of Texas at Austin.  In this 
  21. you will find the classic Artificial Intelligence programs, pointers on where 
  22. to buy commercial AI programs, and the like.  Some of the programs we have are  
  23. Parry, Eliza, Doctor, etc.

  25.     This archive is intended for professors teaching courses in AI and 
  26. the students they teach.  But others interested in expert systems, neural 
  27. nets, ATN's, perceptrons, etc are, of course, welcome to rummage around.

  29.     As would be expected in an attic, some things in this archive work, 
  30. others need a little nudge to get them going, and some of them are "over 
  31. the hill" for good.  In all cases they should bring back a sense of 
  32. nostalgia to the old timer and give a sense of history to new workers in 
  33. the field of Artificial Intelligence.

  35. HOW TO ACCESS THE AI_ATTIC
  36.     The AI_ATTIC is an anonymous FTP site that can be accessed by 
  37. telneting or ftping to either the IP address 128.83.186.13 or the node 
  38. address, bongo.cc.utexas.edu  At the request for your name, just type the 
  39. word, anonymous, and at the request for a password, type your own 
  40. personal E-mail address.

  42. It is important that you give us your address, because we want to justify 
  43. keeping this archive open and you can help by letting us evaluate how 
  44. active it is.  When you follow the above procedure, you will arrive at the 
  45. upper level of the attic directory structure.  We recommend that you now 
  46. download and read the ##PleaseReadMeFirst##  message to get an idea of what
