  13. I was recently told about the existence of ASICS (Application Specific 
  14. Integrated Circuits). The person who told me about this could tell no more
  15. than just the existence of such chips. I was wondering whether somebody
  16. could shed some more light on these. I am particularly interested in 
  17. knowing what algorithms have been implemented in ASICS. Also, are there 
  18. any ASICS for any combinatorial optimization problems ????
