- Here's my attempt to clarify the situation with regard to TRACK. There
- are two different 'releases' of TRACK at this point. The original TRACK
- "classic" runs on SP and HPO systems. I have not had anything to do with
- distributing that version. However, to answer the questions that have
- been asked, TRACK "classic" does indeed work on HPO 5 (and HPO 6 and SP 6
- and SP 5 and HPO 4.2 and SP 4 and even SP3!) The entire TRACK "classic" is
- available from Princeton University's (PUCC) LISTSERV. There is a TRACK-D
- list for file distribution, and a TRACK-L list for discussion of TRACK.
- There are no new lists (at least not yet) for TRACKXA (TRACKESA/TRACKXC).
- Please don't ask me Listserv questions, as I don't know much about it.
- You can also get TRACK from an old workshop or an old Waterloo tape.
- The only version of TRACK that is available on this year's workshop tape
- (and online at KSUVM) is the XA/ESA/XC versions that I worked on, as
- you've already discovered.

- P.S. As TRACK has always been distributed with full source code, you can
- just assemble all of it and build an appropriate version for your
- system, but first check to see what files you may need from PUCC's
- LISTSERV. I think the command "TELL LISTSERV AT PUCC INDEX TRACK-D"
- should get you started.

- P.P.S. My real userid is this one (RJFCU@CUNYVM), but you can also reach me
- at TRACK@CUNYVM.
