- "Serious drift, Mr. Sulu!"
- "Aye, Sir. It's our proximity to the Anticipated 27th."
- "Correct, Mr. Sulu!"
- "But Sir, we can't correct with raised shields! If we're to flame Harris
- we can't resist the drift!"
- "Are you questioning my orders, Mr. Sulu?"
- "No Sir!"
- "Then flame away! Once Harris is destroyed the drift will cease!"
- "Aye, Aye, Sir!"

- A. I'm Alabamian by birth and rearing, Arkansan by two-decade adoption.
- Tho' the Southeastern experience may make "dibs" preferred, that's what
- I hear in this neighborhood too. The former's a geographical difference,
- placing me on Emory's western border; the latter may be geographical between
- AR and LA, or it could be chronological (tho' I hear "dibs" from young and
- old here).
-
- B. Perhaps they say "dubs" in LA because they can't spell expressions any
- better than they can names!

- PS Actually, the most apt expression from my youth for this occasion is
- probably "Christmas gift" (or CHRISTMAS GIFT, in deference to Peter Binkley)--
- or am I too cynical?
