- We too use the dual sysres process. And we have everything that is absolutely
- required to be on the sysres, on the single density 3380 sysres with space
- left over.

- There are only so many datasets that *must* be on the volume you IPLed from.
- Therefore, we trimmed down to the minimum with space left over. We put only
- those SMP/E maintained d/s that are part of the core system, onto the
- sysres/systst combination with SMP/E pointing to the SYSTST volume when
- applying maintenance. Everything else is on other volumes we call "DL" volumes.

- Also, if cataloging is a problem, you can use the VOLUMES('******') parameter
- of the DEFINE NONVSAM process to always point to the sysres, no matter what you
- call it.
