  17. I recently sent a message giving which included instructions on
  18. accessing the Southampton CWIS. As those of you who tried will
  19. know, access via the Telnet gateway to the JANET network won't work
  20. - a problem with name registration. My fault for not checking!
  21.  
  22. The correct access procedure is to
  23.  
  24. a) access the JANET network
  25.  
  26. b) call UK.AC.soton.info
  27.  
  28. c) once connected to our local SpiderGate you will be asked for the
  29. service name/address - respond with info
  30.
