  19. Our site-wide policy is simple:
  20.  
  21. 1 - no messages for personal gain (i.e. "For Sale" notices).
  22. 2 - everything else that is non-business-related should have the subject
  23.     prefaced by the phrase "Junk: ".
  24.  
  25. The presence of (1) reminds folks why the mail network is there.  (2) allows
  26. flexibility for "busy" people to skip the junk mail without worrying that
  27. they're missing anything!

  29. Generally, however, we run fairly loose and free and non-authoritairian; we
  30. find that peer pressure takes care of abusers of this policy quite effectively.
