- Beverly: I believe in Angels. When I was a little girl I had problems
- with my feet and was constantly falling. My parents didn't have much
- money and were angry at me because my pants or other clothing constantly
- had to be replaced. As a result I was punished for falling. (I did
- wear braces, but my parents felt that I also needed to be more careful.)
- I was about 6 years old and playing in the basement when I started to
- fall. I can remember the terror I felt at the thought of being punished
- again and my mother not talking to me for a week. All of a sudden in
- this dark basement an illumination appeared, caught me, and put me
- on my feet. I remember It was another little girl who looked like
- she was in a communion dress and veil, but she had these little wings.
- Immediately I thought of an angel because it was something I was learning
- in Sunday school. I thought at that time angels were like St. Michael
- or the Virgin Mary and had a hard time relating that this little girl
- was an angel. Now that I am an adult I think of this little angel as
- my friend and am appreciative that she rescued me.
