  17. Because the current 'methodology' of the net is that when a group becomes a
  18. hierarchy, then there MUST be a .misc group. I have always preferred the idea
  19. of creating sub-groups from the parent. Thus I prefer your idea of creating
  20. a rec.models. I believe it is cleaner and makes the entire hierarchy less prone
  21. to splits [from the idea that someone's pet subject is less 'important' because
  22. it is in the misc group rather than a group of its own.]

  24. Bear in mind, that, in spite of the posted views of one person, the selection 
  25. of a name is important, especially when you are proposing to move the group
  26. into USENET from alt. 
  27.  
  28. What I would really like to see is the creation of either rec.models or
  29. rec.models.misc and if you really think that there is enough traffic already
  30. to justify rec.models.scale, then create it as well.
