- Because the current 'methodology' of the net is that when a group becomes a
- hierarchy, then there MUST be a .misc group. I have always preferred the idea
- of creating sub-groups from the parent. Thus I prefer your idea of creating
- a rec.models. I believe it is cleaner and makes the entire hierarchy less prone
- to splits [from the idea that someone's pet subject is less 'important' because
- it is in the misc group rather than a group of its own.]

- of a name is important, especially when you are proposing to move the group
- into USENET from alt.

- What I would really like to see is the creation of either rec.models or
- rec.models.misc and if you really think that there is enough traffic already
- to justify rec.models.scale, then create it as well.
