  25. I am not sure which of the other groups you are posting from. Please edit the
  26. Newsgroups: line to reflect alt.models and the group you normally read...

  28. The reason for the separate group is that most (not all) of the readers are not
  29. interested in RC, railroading, or rocketry topics. Since the majority of 
  30. traffic for each group would be on it's primary topic, it's less a matter of
  31. you skipping over our topics than us weeding through yours. Plus, 
  32. rec.models.railroad is not at all a forum for reviewing the newest 1/48 scale
  33. models from Hasegawa. Since they don't fly, neither is rec.models.rc. And
  34. obviously rec.models.rockets in not appropriate.

  36. The reason this discussion was cross-posted to begin with was because there are
  37. people in those groups who are also interested in exact replication. Especially
  38. rec.models.railroad, but also in .rc and .rockets. But the proposal is there
  39. because this subject matter is not really within the sphere of those groups.
