  19. If you have a ? as to why the file packets are passworded please leave a
  20. message in this conference area.You have misunderstood the reason for the
  21. password,the gifs can be downloaded by anyone they are not passworded,only the
  22. complete packets are passworded,which in short means only a sysop who wishes to
  23. carry the gifs has to worry about the password.This is done for 2 reasons,one
  24. to keep a listing of all sysops who carry the gifs,and 2 is to maintain a
  25. correct listing,so if a child is found we have a way to contact the sysops
  26. easily to have them remove the gifs.You spoke of the milk cartons,do you think
  27. they keep sending the childs photo out after the child has been found..NO,thats
  28. all were trying to maintain is a up to date listing.Hope this explains why the
  29. password is used,not for security but for maintenance reasons..
