  21.      The admin's refuse to carry gropus that they don't want to.  Simple as
  22. that.  Not only will they not carry such disk-hogs as alt.binaries.erotica
  23. etc. but will not even carry alt.flame.abortion!  Why?  Because they say so!
  24. Well I for one am not taking this crap.  I am embarking on the uncharted and
  25. perilous journey (dramatic pause) of gaining complete access!!!  Well, not
  26. quite.  I *am* trying other ways to read and post to the.net.  For example:
  27. some kind individuals shared with me method of posting to both alt.sex and
  28. alt.sex.bondage via 2 daemons at other universities.  Not exactly fabulous
  29. knowledge, but progress nonetheless.  I am continuing to ask netters for all
  30. the info they can give me in the hopes that I will be able to publish a
  31. sumary of these techniques for general consumption.  I am told by friends at
  32. vasrious other sites that Penn State is not the only offender, and is even
  33. more liberal than some!  So, I now throw down the gauntlet and ask any and
  34. all of you netters out there to follow me to the fray!  Well, you don't really
  35. have to do that, but it would be nice if you could drop me some E-mail telling
  36. me any neat little techniques and tidbits you've learned about the usenet
  37. concerning reading, posting, FTP'ing, telnetting, etc. as long as it's in some
  38. way relevant to the issue at hand.  I'm not asking for hints on how to hack
  39. into NASA's supercomputers, or anything, just info you may have happened upon.
  40. I'll try to neatly compile the responses and post them, and maybe set up an
  41. FTP site for those w/o any usenet access.  Thanx in advance; let's get 'em!
