  16. The answer to the question about VAX COBOL allowing you to use lower-case
  17. is that all COBOL 85 compliant compilers must allow lower-case .

  19. One chap wanted to know how much experience people here had.  I started
  20. working on COBOL compilers in 1964 (before that it was puched cards
  21. and 1401 autocoder).  I've written thousands of COBOL programs, and used
  22. at least a dozen other languages.  I still think COBOL is great for the 
  23. stuff for which it was designed (business applications).
