- The answer to the question about VAX COBOL allowing you to use lower-case
- is that all COBOL 85 compliant compilers must allow lower-case .

- One chap wanted to know how much experience people here had. I started
- working on COBOL compilers in 1964 (before that it was puched cards
- and 1401 autocoder). I've written thousands of COBOL programs, and used
- at least a dozen other languages. I still think COBOL is great for the
- stuff for which it was designed (business applications).
