- This CD-ROM has to be one of the worst I've seen... the way to get files
- from it onto your Mac is to use Apple File Exchange (which comes with all
- Macs) set to MacBinary and Mac-to-Mac. This works, doesn't involve getting
- any additonal converters and is - fairly - straightforward.
-
- Why the purple blazes the rip-off merchants who put this thing together
- didn't include an uncompressed decoding application or two on the hundreds
- of spare megabytes of space.. or, hey, uncompress the files /themselves/,
- thus avoiding people duplicating the decompression process, or, like several
- of the posters here, getting totally stuck.
-
- Would it be too much to ask why the vendors didn't include instructions?
-
- This you-can-do-without-it CD-ROM encourages me to suggest a FAQ
- of reviews here - we all experience a wide range of CDs, and if I'd
- known of this one in time I'd not have bought it. Given most users here are
- PC people rather than Mac people, surely there's still sufficient overlap
- for a regular report of current CDs to be of value?
-
- Anyone agree? Or feel like putting something together?
