  5. WimpLink and the support applications can handle either three-dimensional
  6. ('NewLook') or two-dimensional window layouts, whichever is preferred. When
  7. determining the user preference in the matter, WimpLink, WLAreas, WLConfig,
  8. WLCleanup and WLNodes examine bit 0 of byte 140 in the computer's CMOS RAM;
  9. this flag indicates whether a 2D or a 3D Desktop look is desired.

  11. Under RISC OS 3.5 on the RiscPC the !Configure application can be used to
  12. set or clear the CMOS flag bit; under RISC OS 3.10 and 3.11 this must be
  13. done manually, as with the DragASprite setting. Run the supplied 'Look2D/3D'
  14. utility to switch between a 2D and a 3D look; the utility will report the
  15. configured new setting.
