A Cascading Style Sheet can influence the look of single tags and paragraphs. All HTML files that use this CSS file can be changed by simply editing the CSS file alone.

The link description.
This is a preview how the link will look in your browser.
#IMAGE
File name of the image. This should be a GIF, JPEG or PNG image and not too large.
Alternative text will be used instead of the picture if the browser is not able to display the image.
Width of the image in pixels or percent.
Height of image in pixels.
Space which is left at the bottom and top of the image.
Space which is left at the right and left side of the image.
Name of the definition for link-sensitive areas of the image.
Set the values for width and height back to the original size.
An alternative text is automatically inserted if you select an existing file. An alternative image is only recommendable if the image is very large.
Border around the image.

The title is displayed as the window title and inside the browser window (the latter behaviour can be switched off).
The second heading is displayed below the first one (optional).
Seperates the headings from the rest of the page by using a horizontal rule.

Add your additional HTML properties here. The Penguin doesn't validate what you type in.
Uses the attribute for the HTML tag.

The exact version number of the Penguin including the date on which the program was compiled.
#BODY
The selected background image. This file should be as small as possible (file size). Make sure that the text is still readable.
If 'Fixed background' is selected the background image won't scroll together with the text.
Click here to use a background image on your page. The checkbox is automatically crossed if you select an image.
Depending on your decision whether you use a background image or not you should set the colours for links and text (especially in the first case).
This is a preview of your background colour. May look different with another system/graphic card combination.
Text is displayed using this colour. Note that you can also specify text colours for single text passages.
A link - if you don't see them you'll be trapped in darkness.

You can select your favourite mode here. "Normal" is similar to former HP-Penguin versions the other mode are more or less different.

Text alignment is by default left. Justified text isn't supported by all web browsers (Adamas, Netscape and MSIE do while CAB doesn't).

Height of the horizontal rule in pixels.
Width of the horizontal rule in percent. If the width is 100% the alignment will not be visible.
Alignment of the line. You won't see much of it unless you reduce the line width.
A colour for horizontal rules is not supported by many browsers.
A 3D effect. Not real 3D of course, but it stresses the horizontal rule.

BubbleGEM help isn't available for all objects. Activating this option will always display a bubble even if there is no help text.
The Penguin gets the writing of the file name from the operating system. Therefore al file names are in uppercase if you use single TOS - this can be changed by this option.
The path of the selected internet browser.
Cascading Style Sheets are standard since HTML4. They make page design and site management easier but aren't supported by Adamas or CAB.

Left margin in pixels.
Right margin in pixels (IE specific).
Top margin in pixels.
Bottom margin in pixels (IE specific).
Margin width (Netscape 4.x specific).
Margin height (Netscape 4.x specific).
#MARQUEE
This text will be scrolled.
Width of the marquee area. The unit can either be in pixel or percent.
Height of the marquee area. The unit can either be in pixel or percent.
The marquee's speed. Six is the default value.
Text can flow around the applet. This feature is currently unsupported (even by Microsoft who invented this tag) but documented.

This is the title of your page.
This option makes only sense if your page uses frames. For example the standard target can redirect all links to a new window. If you need to avoid this behaviour for a certain link then specify a target for the link.
The page is indexable. This feature is integrated for compatibility reasons - it is obsolete today.
