  31.   1.INTRODUCTION

  33.   BioWIN is the first really complete biorhythm program for MS WINDOWS.
  34.   It includes all four biorhythm cycles, biorhythm compatibility between
  35.   two people, people database, bad and good day search and various printing.

  38.   2.SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  40.   BioWIN requires Microsoft Windows95/NT or later.

  43.   3.INSTALLATION
  44.  
  45.   To install BioWIN in your system, just run the Setup utility.
  46.   It will quide you through the installation process.

  50.   4.BIORHYTHMS
  51.  
  52.   Everything that happens around us in the nature is periodic. We are
  53.   influenced by a cyclic changes of the seasons, moon shape, day and night 
  54.   etc.
  55.  
  56.   Every human life is influenced by these factors and 'works'
  57.   a periodical way as well. Scientists have discovered body cycles that are
  58.   known as biorhythms. These cycles can influence things such as: coordination,
  59.   immunity to disease, strength, mental stability, moods, logic thinking,
  60.   ability to learn, memory recall, instincts, etc.
  61.  
  62.   Charting your biorhythms can give a very real indication about your
  63.   capabilities at a given time.
  64.  
  65.  
  66.   There are four known biorhythm cycles: physical, emotional, intellectual 
  67.   and intuitional. Each of these cycles starts at the time of birth. From 
  68.   this point, each of the cycles starts to rise up through its active phase 
  69.   until it falls back to the zero level. Then it continues through the zero 
  70.   level to go on to a passive phase. Then it raise again to the zero level
  71.   to begin all over again.
  72.  
  73.   Each time the cycle crosses the zero level from the active to the passive
  74.   phase, it is said to be in a critical state (critical day). When the cycle
  75.   crosses the zero level from the passive to active phase, it is said to be in
  76.   a zero state (zero day). In the active phase the abilities associated with
  77.   the particular cycle are high. When the cycle is in its passive phase the
  78.   abilities are diminished.

  80.   During the critical day the associated abilities are unstable,
  81.   and you should be really careful during that day.

  83.   The 'zero day' can be various. The abilities are unstable during that
  84.   day as well. However, this day is better than a critical day because the
  85.   cycle is heading towards the active phase.

  87.   In practice we are under influence of the combination of all the cycles.
  88.  
  89.   The table shows the lengths of cycles and abilities that are affected by
  90.   each of the four biorhythm cycles.

  123.   energy, resistance to pain. Good time for visiting your
  124.   dentist, operation or sport achievement. You are simply
  125.   in a very good form...

  128.   EMOTIONAL PEAK - Susceptibility, impulsiveness, optimism,
  129.   coolness, good coexistence with environment, intensive
  130.   eroticism, high ability of concentration.

  133.   INTELLECTUAL PEAK - Very good memory and intellect, quick
  134.   wits. You are smarter and more clever than usual.

  137.   BEWARE CRITICAL DAYS ! Your system has the lowest efficiency
  138.   (physical ,emotional or intellectual). In that period you are
  139.   susceptible to accidents and adversity.

  142.   DO NOT TRUST THE ZERO DAYS ! Remember that this day can be
  143.   various. You can beat the record or get hurt on that day.
  144.   The frequent rashness on that day can become dangerous.
  145.   Well....Watch out !

  148.   LOW - Try to rest, regenerate your body, gather energy
  149.   Be careful (like on critical day), especially if all
  150.   three lows will meet in one place.
  151.  
  152.   You also should be aware that other external events can influence your
  153.   behavior and reactions completely overriding the effects your biorhythms
  154.   might have.
  155.   If for example you have won 1 000 000$ today, nomater what your biorhythm
  156.   chart will show, you will feel great and happy anyway!

  160.   5.USING BioWIN
  161.  
  162.   BioWIN is a MS WINDOWS application. To navigate BioWIN you can either
  163.   use menu or tool bar. You also can use shortcut keys.
  164.   BioWIN uses the Windows help system to provide on-line information.
  165.  
  166.   BioWIN screen consist of menu, tool, status bar, chart area and
  167.   data window. Data window holds the current date, report date and dates
  168.   of birth for biorhythm cycles and compatibility. It has also
  169.   the names of people for whom the charts are shown (if the dates were
  170.   retrieved from database), and the legend for charts.

  178.      Edit Base - BioWIN supports a database where personal data (i.e. date
  179.          of birth and name) can be stored. This will speed up the
  180.      (F2)     process of entering the date of birth for biorhythm and
  181.          compatibility counting.
  182.  
  183.          To add a person to the database you have to click Add button
  184.          in the BioWIN EditBase dialog box. Then fill in the Personal
  185.          data dialog box.

  187.          To edit the personal data select person in the list box and
  188.          click Edit button, or just double click the person in the list
  189.          box.

  191.          To remove a person from a database select person in the list
  192.          box and click Remove button.

  196.      Configuration - It is possible to configure the look of your screen in
  197.          BioWIN. Curves can be either plotted as thick or thin lines.
  198.          They can be color or mono (dashed, dotted). The plotting area
  199.          background color can be changed as well and grid can be
  200.          toggled.

  202.          The configuration will be stored in biowin.ini file which you
  203.          can find in your Windows directory
  204.

  206.      Print -     BioWIN allows you to print the biorhythm and compatibility
  207.          charts. There are five different printing options.

  209.          Biorhythm
  210.  
  211.          - all cycles on one - all four cycles will be printed on the
  212.                        same chart (as a single month)
  213.  
  214.          - separate         - four charts with one curve each
  215.                        (as a single month)
  216.  
  217.          - year chart         - twelve month chart for current year.
  218.                        The year can be changed by changing the
  219.                        "Report date"

  221.          Compatibility

  225.          - dual chart         - two curves can be shown for two people
  226.                        on the same chart

  228.          You can choose what to print in the printing dialog box
  229.          (biorhythm). For compatibility, the current state of the
  230.          chart window will be printed.

  232.          In biorhythm printing, it is possible to print selected
  233.          curves. Only the curves that are shown on the screen will be
  234.          printed. (You can toggle showing these curves in the main
  235.          menu - "Biorhythm").

  248.                     BioWIN accepts dates in the following
  249.                     format: MON DAY YEAR (ex: MAY 8 1969}
  250.                     The earliest date that can be entered is:

  252.                     To speed up the date entering, BioWIN
  253.                     provides two combo boxes from which the
  254.                     month and day can be selected.

  256.             From Base - Selects the person from database. The
  257.                     biorhythm chart will be shown for that
  258.               (F4)        person.

  261.          Compatibility
  262.                Person 1 - Direct  - Allows to enter the date of
  263.                         birth for compatibility charts
  264.                         in the dialog box.

  280.          Today -  Sets the report date (date for witch the report
  281.               dialog box is shown) for the current day.

  283.         Other Date -  Allows to set another date for the report date
  284.    Compatibility month -  Compatibility month is the month for which two
  285.               appropriate biorhythm cycles of two people will be
  286.               shown on the same chart. It will be possible
  287.               therefore to compare cycles.

  290.   Biorhythm ****
  291.         Report -  Shows the full biorhythm report for
  292.               the current person. Report is counted for the
  293.         (F11)      report date. The report shows the biorhythm level
  294.               in % for every cycle, day of the cycle and number
  295.               of days that you have lived up to report date.

  349.   6.HOW TO GET YOUR CHARTS ?
  350.  
  351.   All you have to do to get your biorhythm curves is to enter your date
  352.   of birth and the date for which you would like to  see the curves (or
  353.   report).
  354.  
  355.   The date of birth can be entered directly (dialog box) or from the database.
  356.   The date for which the biorhythm report will be shown (report date) can be
  357.   entered directly in the date dialog box or can by selected by clicking on
  358.   the month chart. If you want to set the report date for the current day
  359.   select 'Today' in the Report Dates from the main menu.

  361.   BioWIN displays its biorhythm chart on the 31 days display (month).
  362.   You can move forward (see chart for the next month) or backward (see chart
  363.   for the previous month) by clicking the appropriate buttons on the toolbar.

  367.   7.COMPATIBILITY
  368.  
  369.   BioWIN allows you to show compatibility between biorhythm cycles for two
  370.   people. If for example, the physical cycle of one person is identical with
  371.   another person's physical cycle, it means that the physical compatibility is
  372.   100%. The higher compatibility - the better it is.
  373.   
  374.   BioWIN displays the compatibility as a bar chart, or you can plot physical,
  375.   emotional, intellectual or intuitional cycles for two people as individual charts,
  376.   showing both persons cycles, one laid over the other. This will allow to
  377.   compare the cycles and establish the days with equal biorhythm levels.

  379.   To get the compatibility charts, just enter the date of birth for
  380.   both persons (Person 1, Person 2).
  381.  
  382.   Compatibility is constant, and does not depend on current date.
  383.   It depends on the dates of birth.

  387.   8.SHAREWARE LIMITATIONS
  388.  
  389.   This is the Shareware version of the program. The database can hold
  390.   only up to three people. You are also unable to print some charts.
  391.   The compatibility options are disabled.

  393.   There are no limitations in the REGISTERED VERSION.

  396.   9.REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  398.   BioWIN is a copyrighted program protected by all applicable US and
  399.   International copyright laws. If you have obtained this copy from a
  400.   Shareware disk vendor, an on-line computer service or bulletin board, a
  401.   friend or colleague, or any similar source, you have the trial
  402.   (unregistered) copy.
  403.   You are allowed to use this copy without charge for a limited time as
  404.   specified under the license agreement. After this time, you must register
  405.   in order to continue using BioWIN legally.
