  9. STEP-BY-STEP explanation of the installation process

  11. If the program contains only one file, SERPENT1.ZIP:
  12. Use up-to-date version of PKUNZIP.
  13. Type "PKUNZIP SERPENT1.ZIP"

  16. 4 files are created:     SERP1.~
  17.             INSTALL.EXE
  18.             WARPINFO.TXT
  19.             README.NOW
  20. Type "INSTALL"
  21.  
  22. A message appears on the screen: "INSTALL TO C:\SERPENT"

  24. Type <enter> to install these files to the C:\SERPENT
  25. directory or else type in desired Directory name and 
  26. type <enter>.

  28. The file SERP1.~ is moved to the C:\SERPENT directory
  29. and renamed SERP1.EXE.  This is a self-extracting,
  30. zipped file.

  32. The next step should be done automatically by the 
  33. INSTALL program.  It is "SERP1 -d".  This command
  34. will unzip the files and install them to the proper
  35. directories.
