  13. So, anyway, I recently purchased an 8K RAM cartridge for my VIC-20,
  14. and upon opening it up I noticed two very interesting things...
  15.  
  16.  1)  There is four Mitsubishi ICs and four Hitachi ICs inside.
  17.  
  18.  2)  There is a DIP switch bank inside with a total of eight switches
  19.      (one for each chip?) inside the closed case.

  21. The cartridge works perfectly by the way; although I haven't experimented
  22. with what happens when the switches are flipped.  The switches
  23. Any speculation on why those switches would be in there, or what would happen
  24. if I started to monkey around with them?
