The VIC 20 connects via the front connectors (Combined video and audio)
rather than the seperated video connectors on the rear, that's item 1
Item 2 is you need a FIVE PIN cable. If you need the pin out reply via
E-mail and I'll give it, But you can get a five pin DIN that will fit
the VIC at Radio Shack or just about any other electronics store. Then you
will need a pair of audio cables with PHONO (RCA) connectors on one end (or
buy a STEREO cable and cut off one set of ends.
If you want to try to "HACK" the pins I can tell you off the top of head how
Pin 2 (Center pin) is ground Solder BOTH shields to this pin
One pin has 5VDC on it, Don't connect to this pin (Use a voltmeter to find it)
One pin has 300 OHM video on it (If you connect it to the AUDIO input it will
sound like a loud buzz) One 75 OHM video (Likewise)
Remaining pin is audio. Connect this one to the audio in on the FRONT of the
1701/2 and solder
Connect one of the VIDEO pins to the FRONT video on the 1701/2 DO NOT Solder
Try the other VIDEO pin, Likewise
Solder to whicever one gives the best video.
Or E-Mail me and I'll dig up the pin out, It's in all the manuals
