  5. I nearly packed the whole lot in, this
  6. issue has taken so much time you
  7. wouldn't believe the hassle & threats,
  8. I have received. I seem to have
  9. offended 1 or two large companies
  10. with some of my comments, why they
  11. were reading a Free Commodore
  12. magazine I don't know.

  14. Also some problems with copyright of
  15. pictures text and logos that companies
  16. trying to cash back in on Commodore
  17. seem to have a problem with. I have had
  18. a legal letter demand I remove all of
  19. their content and reference to them
  20. from the magazine. I had really no
  21. option but to pull the last issues from
  22. the website and start Issue 4 from
  23. scratch, this time trying to ensure I
  24. contact everyone about text and
  25. graphics and logos before they went
  26. into the magazine.

  28. I am hoping companies like
  29. Protovision wouldn't mind the use of
  30. there logo on the news section, and I
  31. presume pictures of Commodore
  32. machines are ok to use in the
  33. magazine.

  35. Anyone know who owns the copyright
  36. to the Commodore machines shape'
  37. Can pictures of Commodore machines
  38. be legally printed in a Free magazine.

  40. As you can see I have been having
  41. some problems, and while some
  42. readers have emailed me with concerns
  43. that I have stopped producing the
  44. magazine, you can rest easily knowing
  45. you have issue 4
  46.  
  47. How many readers looked at the
  48. magazine, well according to my ISP
  49. the total downloads for issue 3 were
  50. 300, I can obtain a report on each file
  51. and if that file was linked to from
  52. other places.

  54. So I know that other websites have
  55. links to Commodore Free magazine
  56. and users have followed these links to
  57. find the magazine. I can also so what
  58. pages people went to on the site, some
  59. user clicked links direct to the
  60. Download of the PDF which is fine.

  62. Commodore Free makes no money,
  63. In the event that donations exceed the
  64. web hosting costs this money will be
  65. donated to Commodore Projects.
