  1. PATCH FILE PAGE

  3. Here are the game patches that appeared in Tom McDonald's 
  4. Extended Play column for March. We've also included an 
  5. archive of all the patches we've run so far (that's every
  6. patch mentioned in an Extended Play column since PC Gamer
  7. first hit the stands). It's an excellent reference for
  8. patches.  
  9.  
  10. To install these patches, enter the \PATCH subdirectory on our 
  11. demo disc. You'll need to copy each patch into each games  
  12. appropriate directory on your hard drive. The archive of patches
  13. are located in the \PATCH\ARCHIVE subdirectory. You'll need to have 
  14. a version of PKUNZIP to unzip either of these patches.

  17. Commanche: Fast Machine Fix (CMOM2C.EXE) - Includes Speed Lock for 
  18. fast machines and General MIDI support, and contains all previous
  19. hardware compatibility updates.
  20.  
  21. Flight Commander II v.1.01 (FC2PAT.EXE) - Fixes PBEM feature video 
  22. driver problems.

  24. NASCAR Racing v.1.1 (NCR11.ZIP) - Allows the use of IRQ 10 with certain
  25. sound cards, solves problems with control functions in joystick
  26. calibration, and allows competitive racing after qualifying in 
  27. pole position.

  29. As with all these patches, make sure you have your original files
  30. backed up in case you need to reinstall. PC Gamer will not accept 
  31. any responsibility for any problems caused by these files or any 
  32. other file on this CD-ROM.
