  3.        Humongous Entertainment's Putt-Putt Joins the Parade CD version
  4.                        Sound Driver Upgrade Files v. 2.0

  7. This upgrade includes:
  8.     * Fixes for the Sound Blaster/Thunderboard drivers
  9.     * Allows you to change the I/O address of your SoundBlaster
  10.     * New Microsoft Sound Card drivers
  11.     * New ProAudio Drivers
  12.        * Allows you to change the IRQ to 10 or 2
  13.        * Allows you to set the DMA to 3
  14.        * Fixes a problem with incorrect colors on some faster machines
  15.  
  16. To install this upgrade, follow the instructions below:
  17.  
  18. 1.  At the DOS prompt, type A:PATCHCD
  19.  
  20. 2.  To install the Microsoft Sound Card drivers, you 
  21.     will need to edit the PUTTPUTT.INI file and add or replace the 
  22.     following lines to insure that the necessary drivers are being used.
  23.  
  24.         DigitalSoundDriver=sndsys.com
  25.         MidiSoundDriver=adlib.adv
  26.  
  27. 3.  To change your IRQ, add or modify the following line in your
  28.     PUTTPUTT.INI file: (this example uses IRQ 10)
  29.  
  30.          IRQ=10
  31.  
  32. 4.  If you wish to change your DMA, add or modify the following line in your
  33.     PUTTPUTT.INI file:
  34.  
  35.          DMA=3
  36.  
  37. 5.  If colors are not being displayed correctly on your machine, add the
  38.     following line to you PUTTPUTT.INI file:
  39.      
  40.          SlowColor=1
  41.  
  42. 6.  To install the new ProAudio drivers, you will need to edit 
  43.     the PUTTPUTT.INI file and add or replace the following lines to insure 
  44.     that the necessary drivers are being used.
  45.  
  46.     Use these two lines for the ProAudio 16:
  47.  
  48.       DIGITALSOUNDDRIVER=PAS16.COM
  49.       MIDISOUNDDRIVER=PASOPL.ADV
  50.  
  51.     Use these two lines for the ProAudio Plus:
  52.  
  53.       DIGITALSOUNDDRIVER=PAUDIO.COM
  54.       MIDISOUNDDRIVER=PASOPL.ADV
  55.
