                       Instructions for Installing 
       Humongous Entertainment's Putt-Putt Joins the Parade CD version
                       Sound Driver Upgrade Files v. 2.0
****************************************************************************

This upgrade includes:
	* Fixes for the Sound Blaster/Thunderboard drivers
	* Allows you to change the I/O address of your SoundBlaster
	* New Microsoft Sound Card drivers
	* New ProAudio Drivers
   	* Allows you to change the IRQ to 10 or 2
   	* Allows you to set the DMA to 3
   	* Fixes a problem with incorrect colors on some faster machines

To install this upgrade, follow the instructions below:

1.  At the DOS prompt, type A:PATCHCD

2.  To install the Microsoft Sound Card drivers, you 
    will need to edit the PUTTPUTT.INI file and add or replace the 
    following lines to insure that the necessary drivers are being used.

		DigitalSoundDriver=sndsys.com
		MidiSoundDriver=adlib.adv

3.  To change your IRQ, add or modify the following line in your
    PUTTPUTT.INI file: (this example uses IRQ 10)

         IRQ=10

4.  If you wish to change your DMA, add or modify the following line in your
    PUTTPUTT.INI file:

         DMA=3

5.  If colors are not being displayed correctly on your machine, add the
    following line to you PUTTPUTT.INI file:
	 
         SlowColor=1

6.  To install the new ProAudio drivers, you will need to edit 
    the PUTTPUTT.INI file and add or replace the following lines to insure 
    that the necessary drivers are being used.

    Use these two lines for the ProAudio 16:

      DIGITALSOUNDDRIVER=PAS16.COM
      MIDISOUNDDRIVER=PASOPL.ADV

    Use these two lines for the ProAudio Plus:

      DIGITALSOUNDDRIVER=PAUDIO.COM
      MIDISOUNDDRIVER=PASOPL.ADV
