- Chapter 1 - Gabriel
- Once youÆve gained control of Gabriel, open the green bag thatÆs on the floor and
- remove its contents. Read the two letters from Grace and Ubergau, and then move
- over to the other half of the room. Pick up the paper on the right side of the table
- and click on the article for useful information. Read the note to the left of the
- coatstand, then take the car keys from below the mirror and leave the house.
- Walk off to the right, then walk to the large log. Look at the patch of mud to the
- left of the log and look at the pawprint. Stand up, go back to the house and enter
- the barn. Look at the cement on the shelf, then take the bucket of cement back to
- the pawprint and make a cast of it. After returning the bucket, pick up the cast and
- exit behind the log. Look at the patch of mud at the entrance to the woods, and
- pick up the hair you find. Now use the car keys on the car outside the house to
- leave.
- If you try to go to the police station in Prinzregentenplatz, youÆll be turned away,
- so go to the zoo in Thalkirchen instead. Here, look at the wolf information sign
- and then look into the enclosure. Try to entice a wolf to come over to you. YouÆll
- fail. Look away from the enclosure and wait until a man appears. Talk to him and
- ask him everything you can. Now exit to the left to visit Doctor Klingmann.
- Ask the Doctor every question you can, then leave the zoo and return to Lochham.
- Click on the tape icon in the bottom-right of the screen, and load KlingmannÆs
- tape into A and a blank tape into B. Press the splice button. By clicking on the
- right words from KlingmannÆs conversation, make the phrase:
- æThomas? Herr Doctor Klingmann here. Show our wolves to Mr. Knight.Æ
- Press the transfer button to complete the process.
- Go back to KlingmannÆs office and search the DoctorÆs coat, and use the splice
- tape on the walkie-talkie on the desk. When youÆre taken into the enclosure, click
- on the wolfÆs tag, then click on the wolf itself.
- Return to Lochham and look at the receipt found in KlingmannÆs coat. Turn it
- over and look at the writing on the back. Enter the house and use the receipt on
- the mirror to read the writing. Click on the paper on the left side of the table to
- write a letter to Grace.
- Go to Marienplatz and exit to the left, then go through the doorway on the left.
- Enter the office and ask Ubergrau all the questions in the list. Go to the
- Universitat that Ubergrau tells you about and show the two hair samples and the
- paw cast to the biologist there before leaving. Return to Marienplatz, walk to the
- far right and exit. Exit behind the fountain and look at the post office on the right
- before posting your letter to Grace (use the letter on the door).
- Walk further along the road, and enter the hunting club on the right. Tell the
- receptionist that youÆre an avid hunter, but leave when asked for proof. Go to
- Ubergrau and ask him for your family records; take these back to the club and
- show them to Xavier.

- Chapter 2 - Grace
- Read the letter from Gabriel, and then try to open the door in the back of the
- room. Go downstairs and ask Gerde about all the available subjects. Leave
- Schloss Ritter and look at the car outside before leaving via the passage on the
- left. Enter the Gasthof on the far right and discuss all available topics with Herr
- Huber behind the bar. Leave and knock on the hatch in the middle blue door in
- the square.
- Talk to the Mayor about everything in the list, then return to Schloss Ritter. Ask
- Gerde for the car keys, and after she refuses to give them to you, go upstairs.
- Look at the box of tools next to the fireplace and take the screwdriver. Look up at
- the hole in the fireplace, and use the screwdriver on it. Open the cupboard and
- enter the secret passage youÆve just revealed. Walk through the door on the right
- to enter GerdeÆs room. Look at the photo on the table, then open the cupboard and
- take the key hanging up. Return to GraceÆs room through the passage and open
- the locked door with the key.
- Inside the library, look at the middle bookcase, then the right-hand one. Read
- Victor RitterÆs journal, the letter to Ludwig II and the lycanthropy book. Look at
- the right bookcase again, then try the left bookcase. Read Christian RitterÆs
- journal, then sit at the desk, look at the manuscript on the left and ring Professor
- Barclay (use his card on the phone). Now go back down to the village.
- Talk to the Mayor about the trial records again, and then ask him everything about
- the trial until he takes you into the dungeon. In here, look at the windows, then at
- the church outside. Look at the bed at the back of the room before going back to
- the Mayor. Ask him about the church records and heÆll give you a note for the
- priest. Take this to him in the church, then take the file back to the Mayor and ask
- him about it. Ask Herr Huber about Ludwig II before returning to Schloss Ritter
- and typing a letter to Gabriel in the library.
- Show the package to Gerde to get the address, then give the package in at the Post
- Office (after ringing the bell) and pay the postage.

- Chapter 3 - Gabriel
- Look at the newspaper again - click on the article for more information. Leave the
- farm and go to Marienplatz. Go to Ubergrau and read the letter from Grace he
- gives you. Talk to Harry about all the topics listed, then leave and go back to the
- main street. Enter the third shop from the left, the cuckoo clock shop, and look at
- the clock on the left side of the counter. Buy the clock (use wallet on man), then
- go back to the road outside the hunt club.
- Click on the police cars to enter the crime scene. Try to talk to Leber (the fat man
- behind the cordon), and use your sample analysis sheet on the TV camera crew to
- get his attention. Leave, and enter the club. Talk to Xavier about all the listed
- topics, then enter the lounge and go through the door on the right. Try both of the
- doors, and use the cuckoo clock on the plant. Return to reception and wait until
- Xavier walks off to see what the noise is.
- Look at his desk and open the drawer, and take the keys inside. Return to the two
- doors and use the keys on the green one. Retrieve the clock from the plant, then
- put it back again and use the same procedure as before to return the keys to the
- drawer. Open the green door and walk down into the secret room. Look at the
- wall on the right, and look at the photos on it. Then look at the back wall and look
- at the animal heads and the human skull. Finally, pick up the book from the table
- and look at the figures in it. Put it back down and Von Zell will usher you out.
- Talk to Von Zell until he storms off, then go back to Prizregentenplatz and ask
- Leber everything you can. Look at the map on the back wall and click on it to
- look at the pattern of the killings. Look at the card on the right and use your
- notepad on it to note down the phone number. Return to Lochham and dial
- GrossbergÆs number. Write another letter to Grace, then look at Von GlowerÆs
- card in your inventory. Time to pay him a visit.
- When you get into his house, look at the mask on the wall and click on it to ask
- Von Glower about it. Sit down and talk to him about all the listed topics. Leave
- and go back to the Post Office to post your second letter to Grace, then enter the
- hunt club lounge and sit by Preiss. Ask him everything, and then the rest of the
- club members will arrive. Try to talk to Von Glower, and then talk to Von Aigner
- and Hennemann about all the listed topics. Keep talking to Von Zell and
- Klingmann until you have used all your excuses and you have the magazine. Now
- use your tape recorder on the magazine and return it to the table.

- Chapter 4 - Grace
- First of all, enter the library and look at the left bookcase. Read the Ludwig book
- you get from it. Next, go into the village and ring the bell at the Post Office to get
- GabrielÆs letter. Read this, then enter the Gasthof and ask Herr Huber about
- Gabriel. Talk to the Smiths about everything on the list.
- Enter the church and go back two screens to the tomb. Look at Gerde, then return
- to the secret passage in Schloss Ritter. Go back down the stairs and pick some
- roses from the bush. Return to the tomb and give these to Gerde as an apology.
- SheÆll give you GabrielÆs car keys, so use them on the car.
- Go to the Ludwig museum (on the right of the map) and buy a ticket from the
- woman there. Walk around the museum, looking carefully at every exhibit, then
- ask the woman about the diary and the opera before leaving.
- Go to the castle at Neuschwanstein. Walk around the castle, clicking on the tour
- tape icon every time your viewpoint changes. Make sure you look at every object,
- and always use the tape. Now go to the Wagner museum and again look carefully
- at every part of the exhibit. Before leaving, ask Georg at the counter about all the
- topics listed, and look at the diary on the counter.
- Return to Schloss Ritter and ask Gerde about Gabriel. Go to the library and ring
- Professor Barclay again, then ring Dallmeier on the number he gives you. Drive to
- Starnberger See as instructed by Dallmeier. Once there, walk to the far left and
- click on the railings. When Dallmeier appears, ask him about all the topics. Go to
- Schloss Ritter again and ask Gerde about a special permit. In the library, use the
- Ludwig book on the phone to call the publishers, then ring Chaphill on the
- number you are given. Type a letter to Gabriel, then go into the village.
- Enter the Gasthof and ask Herr Huber to call the Smiths down. Tell Mrs Smith
- about your dream, and then leave and post your letter at the Post Office,
- remembering to pay. Walk left and look at the bush to the right of the church.
- Look at the flowers, then click on them again and the priest will appear and pick
- one for you. Return to Starnberger See and click on the railings, then on the sea.
- Use the lily on the water before returning to Rittersberg.
- Enter Schloss Ritter to receive a message from Gerde, then head over to the Post
- Office to receive a fax from Thomas Chaphill. Read the whole fax before going to
- the Wagner museum and showing it to Georg.

- Chapter 5 - Gabriel
- Return to the hunt club and retrieve your tape recorder from the magazine. Visit
- the meat stall next to UbergrauÆs office and buy some white sausage (use wallet
- on sausage). Go to Ubergrau and ask him about missing persons, then show him
- the tape from the club, which he will translate. Read the letter from Grace, then go
- to LeberÆs office. Ask him everything and then give him the tape from the club,
- which will convince him to show you GrossbergÆs ledgers. Look at the ledgers,
- tear out the page you see and then leave.
- Go to Buchenaua and knock on the door to talk to Dorn. When he closes the door,
- knock again and then leave. Return to Ubergrau and ask him for cash. Take the
- money back to Dorn and give it to him. After he has invited you in, talk to him
- about all listed topics, and then look at the cage where he says he kept the wolves.
- Click on the straw in the bottom right of the cage. Give the sausage to the tiger
- and click on the straw again to get some tags. Leave Dorn and go to the hunt club;
- you will find the members leaving for the lodge.
- When you arrive, leave your room and enter the middle room on the left. Talk to
- Von Aigner about everything you can, then leave his room. Go into the bottom
- right room and listen to Von GlowerÆs advice before going downstairs. Once
- there, talk to Hennemann about all topics, then go back upstairs and enter the
- bottom left room. Show the wolf tags to Klingmann and leave.
- Enter the top right room and open the cupboard. Take the rope and walk over to
- the windows. Open it and look down at the ledge, then use the rope on the ledge.
- When you get outside, walk left and climb through the middle window. Walk to
- the bathroom door and look at the mat. Look at the mark on the floor, then look at
- the footprint which is revealed. Leave the bathroom and look at the bedside table
- (on the left of the bed), and pick up the filofax. Take the letter which is just
- visible at the edge, and read it. Climb back out of the window and get back into
- PreissÆs room. Go downstairs and open the cupboard, take the lamp inside and
- take the matches from over the fireplace. Now leave the lodge.
- Walk into the barn and look at the tools on the wall, and then take the shears.
- Leave and walk right into the woods, where you should look at the mud and the
- print left in it. Walk right once more, and down twice. Look at the mud and the
- print again, then use the shears on the bush and enter the tunnel on the left. Now
- use the matches on the lamp and close your eyes if you are faint-hearted.
- Return to the lodge and go back to Von GlowerÆs room. After heÆs abandoned you
- in the woods, walk north and wait until the wolf appears. Use the talisman on it
- and follow it off the screen. Repeat this process of using the talisman and
- following the wolf until you arrive at the ravine and Von Glower appears. HeÆll
- throw you a gun, so shoot the wolf.

- Chapter 6 - Grace & Gabriel
- Talk to Gabriel on the bed twice, then leave the dungeon. Go to the Post Office
- and ring the bell to receive a letter from Von Glower. Enter the Gasthof and talk
- to Mrs Smith about all available topics, then take a bread roll from the basket and
- leave. Go into GraceÆs room in Schloss Ritter and take a pillowcase from the bed.
- Return to the dungeon and use the bread roll on the bird by the window, then
- catch it in the pillowcase.
- Go to Altotting and look at the items in the display case. Exit to the north, enter
- the door you find and talk to the monk. Look at the basket on the table and put
- some money in to get a bottle of MaryÆs water. Return to the castle in
- Neuschwanstein and go to the room containing a blue chair. Walk off to the right
- and then return after youÆve seen a boy jumping on the chair. Look at the chair
- and use the bottle of MaryÆs water on it to distract the guard. Go to the bedroom
- and look at the panel on the left of the chapel, and open the bottom panel to find
- one act of the opera.
- Next, go to the grotto and, if thereÆs a guard, wait for him to leave. Click on the
- stone wall on the left of the doorway to get another act. Now go into the singerÆs
- hall and walk left; use the bird on the arch in the left wall. Walk back to the other
- part of the hall, and look at the bottom of the second painting on the right wall.
- Click on this again to complete the opera.
- Go to the tomb in the Rittersberg church and look at the silver heart on
- WolfgangÆs tomb twice (click on the statueÆs feet twice to get it). Go and ask
- Gerde about it, return to the church and take it. Back in Altotting, show the heart
- to the monk and heÆll lead you to the shrine. Pray at the rail, then put the heart in
- the basket on the right. Open the door in the right wall, move the chair and look at
- the heart urns. Open the bottom left one.
- YouÆll now be in the theatre; take a programme from the table and read it. Exit to
- the right, then exit right again. Enter the door at the end of the corridor and take
- the list and opera glasses from the table. Take the seating plan from the notice
- board, then talk to Gabriel. Return to the back of the foyer and enter the left
- archway to go downstairs. Go south and open the furnace door, fill it with coal
- and then close the door. Look at the controls and press the red button, then turn
- the handle to æHochÆ. Leave the furnace room, go north twice and west twice and
- open the panel. Take the key, then go west once and south once. Open the door
- and look to the left; take the ╘PRIVATÆ sign and leave. Use the key on the door,
- then go north and up the stairs.
- Look at the pulley to the left of the men and take the small rope from the pulley
- on the right. Exit through the doorway on the left, then go south and enter the
- auditorium through the double doors. Talk to Georg and the men constructing the
- chandelier, return to the foyer and go upstairs. Look at the chandelier diagram in
- your inventory and click on the large X, then look at the seating plan and click on
- the æMittel LogeÆ in the middle. Enter the double doors and then leave the Mittel
- Loge. Walk right and enter the door at the end of the corridor. Turn on the
- spotlight and use the handle to aim it - point it at the Mittel Loge and click.
- Go back downstairs and show the seating plan to Paul. Return to the office and
- move Gabriel to the room downstairs. When the overture starts, go into the office
- and wear the dress. Return to the spotlight room and look through the window to
- the right of the spotlight, using the opera glasses on the Mittel Loge. Act one will
- now start, so look at the doors to the Mittel Loge and use the rope on them. Use
- the æPRIVATÆ sign to cover it.
- Act two now starts, and you take control of Gabriel. Walk left and move the box,
- then try to open the grate. Use the knife on the grate and climb through, and try to
- close it when you get out. Walk north twice and go up the stairs; look at the pulley
- that Grace got the rope from and take the sticky tape. Enter the dressing room on
- the right and pick up a costume. Use the costume on Gabriel to wear it, then look
- at the dressing table and take the powder. Look at the table again after you stand
- up, and use the powder on the mirror. Hide behind the changing stall, and when
- the actor comes in, use the tape on him.
- After the third act, Gabriel becomes a wolf and you must control him. Use the
- æsmellÆ icon to view a map; the idea is to trap the other wolf in the furnace room
- in the bottom right. If this proves too difficult, follow these instructions:
- L = turn left 90 degrees, R = turn right 90 degrees, A = turn 180 degrees, F = go
- forward, C = close door in front of you by clicking on the bottom corner of the
- door.

- When you arrive in the furnace room, click on Grace to take control of her. Open
- the furnace door, then click on Gabriel the wolf again. Wait for a while and youÆll
- see the black wolf growl, then jump. As soon as the black wolf starts to jump,
- click on it to knock it into the furnace and break GabrielÆs curse. Now sit back
- and watch the saccharine ending.
