  1. What's new in Modem Speed-meter version 2.1 ?

  4. 1) Fixed bug: Modem Speed-meter 2.0 failed to check if it
  5.    was already running. In version 2.1, you cannot launch
  6.    two instances of the program.

  8. 2) Fixed bug: In version 2.1, the "back on top" does not 
  9.    give the focus to the Modem Speed-meter application if
  10.    it runs iconized.

  12. 3) Fixed bug: If the user exits Windows while Modem Speed-meter
  13.    is running, Modem Speed-meter version 2.1 saves the
  14.    parameters (window size and position, sampling interval,
  15.    step size, ...) before exiting.

  17. 3) Improved: The version number now appears in the window name.

  20. What's new in Modem Speed-meter version 2.0 ?

  23. 1) The Modem Speed-meter window can now be resized.

  25. 2) The 10 values of "Y scale" selection box may be customized.
  26.    This is done by editing the MODMMETR.INI file. See the help
  27.    for details.

  29. 3) The "run" and "stop" button are now 2 different buttons.

  31. 4) When reporting the modem activity, the "run" button blinks.
  32.  
  33. 5) The graphic report scrolls from left to right instead of
  34.    right to left (the reason is it simplifies the management
  35.    of the resizeable window).

  37. 6) The status area at the bottom of the screen has been re-designed.
  38.    It indicates more clearly what the numbers are.

  40. 7) A "come back on top" option has been added. When activated,
  41.    the Modem Speed-meter window comes back on top of other running
  42.    applications every 7 or 8 seconds. This option is similar to a
  43.    "stay on top" option except that it gives the user a chance to
  44.    access an application window that would be covered otherwise.

  46. 8) When unregistered, Modem Speed-meter only works for 5 mn per session.
  47.    If you want to continue to test it, you must close the Modem
  48.    Speed-meter window and restart it.

  50. 9) Last but not least, the overall code size is smaller !
