  1. Dexter3
  2.     All help topics based on Delphi3 Professional Help Files.

  4. Disclaimer:    
  5.     All Delphi topics were catagorized according to Delphi help file
  6.     information.
  7.     
  8.     Not all API topics ( New for Winxx ) contained group information
  9.     and may not be in correct folder/groups.
  10.  
  11. Installing:
  12.     1] Create a folder.
  13.     2] Copy or unzip files
  14.                 Dexter3.exe
  15.                 Dex.dat
  16.                 Dex.dtr
  17.        into folder (must be in same folder).
  18.     3] Run Dexter3.exe
  19.  
  20. HLP Files:
  21.     Required help files:    Delphi3.hlp
  22.                 Win32.hlp
  23.     
  24.     If xxxx.hlp file(s) exist double clicking a topic in the topic list will
  25.     open the help file at the selected topic.
  26.  
  27. Editing:
  28.     Folders can be moved, deleted, and renamed (duplicate names not allowed).
  29.     Topics can be moved but not edited.
  30.     Drag and drop with mouse to move folders and topics.
  31.  
  32.     To enable editing run Dexter.exe with switch /LETSGOEDITING
  33.         run 'dexter.exe /LETSGOEDITING'
  34.  
  35.     Note:    Recommend making backup files before editing.
  36.         Files to backup:  Dex.dat and Dex.dtr
  37.  
  38. Uninstalling:
  39.     Dexter is not installed with any uninstall information.
  40.     Files to delete:    Dexter3.exe
  41.                 Dex.dat
  42.                 Dex.dtr
  43.  
  44.     Registry key to delete:
  45.         HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Dexter\Dexter3

  48. Dexter4?:
  49.      At the moment I do not have Delphi4 so unless that changes or
  50.     I get D4's help files there is no Dexter4.
