  3. Match for Windows requires Windows 3.1x. or above, with 1/2 Mb of free
  4. hard disk space for installation.

  7. Installation 
  8.  
  9. This version of Match For Windows does not require an install
  10. program.  All files should be copied to a directory of your
  11. choice.

  13. The following files should be present before installation:

  16.   MATCHWIN.EXE     The Match Program file
  17.   MATCHWIN.HLP     This Help file
  18.   REGISTER.TXT     Registration form - will be printed by Match for
  19.                    Windows on request.

  21.   FILE_ID.DIZ      Summary description -  not required for execution

  25. Match for Windows also requires the following, widely available
  26. file to be present in your  WINDOWS\SYSTEM file:

  28.   CTL3DV2.DLL

  30. A Program Manager icon can be created for MATCHWIN.EXE either by
  31. using File/New within Program Manager or by dragging from Fle
  32. Manager.

  35. Uninstalling
  36.  
  37. To uninstall Match For Windows delete the directory to which you
  38. installed the program and any Program manager icons. 
  39.  
  40. In addition a file MATCHWIN.INI will normally have been created
  41. in your Windows directory.  This may also be deleted.  In fact,
  42. this file may be deleted at any time: Match will revert to all
  43. system defaults, and will create a new MATCHWIN.INI file.

  45. Windows 95 
  46.   Match for Windows currently runs under Windows 95 or Windows NT as a 
  47.   16 bit program and does not have long filename support.

  49. New in Version 2.0
  50.  
  51. The following features have been added to Version 2.0
  52.   You can now launch Notepad or your own preferred text editor to edit
  53.   one or both of the matched files.
  54.   The option to only show non-matching lines in the file displays.  (This 
  55.   is on the display option dialog, so only available to registered users)
  56.   Added HTML filters.
  57.   Match now always remembers the last file type you opened, and selects 
  58.   filters accordingly.
  59.   Tab handling has been improved:
  60.   You can set the size of the tab expansion in the display and 
  61.   Tabs can be expanded prior to matching (although this should be used with 
  62.   caution, it can be slow.
  63.   You can select lines with the mouse that are not to take part in the match.
  64. Bugs fixed:
  65.   Drag drop was not always recognising second file
  66.   Last line in a file occasionally not being matched.
  67.   Display corrected for alternative window colour systems.
  68.   Comments inside non-matching blocks are no longer included in the 
  69.   summary text.

  72.   Ability to select both files from first file open dialog
  73.   New registration system - registered users will receive registration codes 
  74.   which will allow downloading of upgrades.

  77. Version 2.1a fixes the Win95 long filename crash when setting Editor defaults.
