Installation This version of Match For Windows does not require an install program. All files should be copied to a directory of your choice. Uninstalling To uninstall Match For Windows delete the directory to which you installed the program and any Program manager icons. In addition a file MATCHWIN.INI will normally have been created in your Windows directory. This may also be deleted. In fact, this file may be deleted at any time: Match will revert to all system defaults, and will create a new MATCHWIN.INI file. Windows 95 Match for Windows currently runs under Windows 95 or Windows NT as a 16 bit program and does not have long filename support. New in Version 2.0 The following features have been added to Version 2.0 You can now launch Notepad or your own preferred text editor to edit one or both of the matched files. The option to only show non-matching lines in the file displays. (This is on the display option dialog, so only available to registered users) Added HTML filters. Match now always remembers the last file type you opened, and selects filters accordingly. Tab handling has been improved: You can set the size of the tab expansion in the display and Tabs can be expanded prior to matching (although this should be used with caution, it can be slow. You can select lines with the mouse that are not to take part in the match. Bugs fixed: Drag drop was not always recognising second file Last line in a file occasionally not being matched. Display corrected for alternative window colour systems. Comments inside non-matching blocks are no longer included in the summary text.
