  11. What Is Gcode, The Product?.
  12.  
  13. Gcode is specifically designed for converting AutoCAD
  14. drawings into G-Code files for use with any 2-D or 3-D.
  15. Machine such as Wire EDMs,  Laser Etchers, Flame cutting,
  16. Milling machines, Lathes etc..
  17.  
  18. GCode can be used for creating individual complicated tool
  19. paths for 2-D and 3-D machines. Custom INI files are used
  20. to taylor Gcode to your particular machine tool.
  21. Several working examples are provided.
  22. Gcode is a low cost opportunity for small independent
  23. machine shops to convert their drawings into useful
  24. programs for their CNC and DNC equipment
  25. without the hassle of figuring out the geometry manually.

  27. Simply draw the outline of the part on a dedicated layer.
  28.  
  29. Then DXF out the file to a directory that Gcode is watching.
  30.  
  31. Gcode will capture the file, process, and plot it.

  33. A full function editor is provided up to one million line capacity
  34. to fine tune the file adding tool offsets etc.

  36. Numerous other options such as flipping the part, 
  37. and scaling are provided.
  38. 'Swap' allows the direction of travel to be changed.

  40. File transfer both in an out is supported so this system
  41. can be hard wired to a machine tool via Rs232.

  43. Graph line color red = cutting to blue not cutting.

  45. Files can be saved and retrieved across a network.

  47. Standard ascii format is used for all files.

  49. Can be configured to support any axis combination.
