  64. Choosing Windows 95 or DOS
  65. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

  67.   The game CD contains both Windows 95 and DOS versions of the game.
  68. There is a different installation program for each version.
  69.  
  70. The type of system you are using will determine which version is
  71. appropriate:

  74.   Do you have Windows 95 installed?
  75. -------------------------------------

  77.   No: You must use the DOS version of the game.
  78.   Yes: You can use either version of the game.

  109.   The Win95 installer is SETUP.EXE, the DOS installer is INSTALL.EXE

  113. Installing the Windows 95 version

  116. When you insert the CD in a Windows 95 system, you will get a start
  117. up panel. Hit the 'Install' button, and follow the instructions from
  118. there.

  120. If for some reason Windows 95 does not run CDs automatically on your
  121. system, then follow these instructions:
  122.  
  123.   Click the 'Start' button.
  124.   Choose the 'Run' item in the menu.
  125.  
  126.   If your CD drive is D then type:
  127.  
  128.     D:setup
  129.  
  130.   If your CD drive is some other letter like J for example then you
  131.   would type:

  133.     J:setup
  134.  
  135.   Hit the Enter key at the end of whichever line you typed.

  137.   At this point the install program should start running. Instructions
  138.   in the program will guide you from this point.

  141. Installing the DOS version

  144.   You will need to know the drive letter associated with your CD-ROM.
  145.   The DOS version can be installed from DOS, Windows 3.x or Windows 95.
  146.   See the appropriate section below for the system you are installing on
  147.  
  148.   Installing the DOS version from DOS
  149. ---------------------------------------------

  151.   Exit any programs that you are running. The following command will
  152.   need to be entered from the C:\> prompt.

  154.   If your CD drive is D then type:
  155.  
  156.     D:install
  157.  
  158.   If your CD drive is some other letter like J for example then you
  159.   would type:

  161.     J:install
  162.  
  163.   Hit the Enter key at the end of whichever line you typed.

  173.   In the Program Manager window, click on 'File' on the menu bar.
  174.   Choose the 'Run' item in the menu.

  214. Windows 95 installation notes
  215. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

  217.   DirectX
  218. -----------

  220.   The game is commpatible with DirectX 3, but does not require it.
  221.   If you already have DirectX 2 or 3 installed, you can safely bypass
  222.   that part of the installation routine.

  224.   The 'Overwrite newer drivers' option
  225. ----------------------------------------
  226.  
  227.   When the installation program installs Direct X, you can choose to
  228.   overwrite newer drivers. DO NOT use this option unless the game
  229.   does not work with the existing drivers.

  231.   This option WILL overwrite Direct X v3. Note that the the game
