  3. technical issues and allow you to get the most out of the World Wide
  4. Soccer PC Demo.  Here is a list of common questions and answers that 
  5. may help:

  9. Q: What are the system requirements for World Wide Soccer PC?
  10. A: The minimum system requirements for World Wide Soccer PC are:
  11.  
  12. 90 MHz Pentium Processor (also works on Cyrix or AMD brand Processors)
  13. 16 MB of RAM
  14. Windows 95
  15. Direct X3 with Direct X compatibile video card and sound card.

  19. Q: How do I make World Wide Soccer run faster?
  20. A: Here is a list of several tips that will make World Wide Soccer
  21. run faster:
  22.  
  23. 1) Make sure you have the proper Direct X video drivers loaded for 
  24. your video card - this is the number one cause of slowdown (see list
  25. below for some of the most prevalent video cards that require special
  26. Direct X drivers to be downloaded from the video card manufacturer's
  27. web site)
  28. 2) Make sure all of other programs are closed.
  29. 3) Set your display setting for Windows 95 to 640X480 resolution 
  30. with 16 bit color - you can do this under "Display Settings" in the 
  31. Windows 95 Control Panel. 
  32. 4) Try playing in 320X240 Low Resolution with 256 colors - To do this
  33. pause the game by hitting F3 or the right mouse button, go to the 
  34. Setting menu, and then Choose "Display Settings", and choose the 
  35. "320X240 with 256 colours" option.
  36. 5) If you still need an even greater boost in speed - try disabling 
  37. the crowd sound effect under the "Sound Options" in the Settings Menu.
  38. 6) You can also disable all of the other sound effects to increase 
  39. the speed even more.
  40. 7) Increasing the minimum amount of Virtual Memory for Windows 95 will
  41. also increase the speed of World Wide Soccer.

  45. Q: During gameplay, there are no Sound Effects. How do I fix this??
  46. A: What most likely happened is MicrosoftÆs Direct X overwrote your 
  47. sound drivers. Since World Wide Soccer uses Direct X3, your previous 
  48. drivers are backed up when it installs new drivers. One way you can 
  49. restore the drivers is to:

  51. 1.Double Click on the "My Computer" icon 
  52. 2.Double Click on the "Control Panel" icon 
  53. 3.Double Click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon 
  54. 4.Choose "Direct X Drivers" and then hit the "Add/Remove Programs" 
  55.   button 
  56. 5.Click on the "Restore Audio Drivers" button 
  57.

  59. downloaded from your sound card manufacturer's web site:

  73. What could be causing this and how can I fix this??

  100. Q: How do I exit World Wide Soccer PC?
  101. A: There are two main ways to exit World Wide Soccer:

  103. 1. You can hit Alt-F4 and this will instantly close World Wide Soccer
  104. (or)
  105. 2. You can pause the game by hitting F3 or the right mouse button and
  106. then go to the Game Menu and choose the "Exit Game" option.

  110. Q: How do I find out my IP address for TCP/IP network play with the
  111. World Wide Soccer PC Demo??
  112. A: If you have the TCP/IP protocol installed under Windows 95, you 
  113. can obtain your IP address by going to the Start Menu, choosing "Run"
  114. and then type "Winipcfg"
