A: The minimum system requirements for World Wide Soccer PC are: 90 MHz Pentium Processor (also works on Cyrix or AMD brand Processors) 16 MB of RAM Windows 95 Direct X3 with Direct X compatibile video card and sound card. =============================================================== Q: How do I make World Wide Soccer run faster? A: Here is a list of several tips that will make World Wide Soccer run faster: 1) Make sure you have the proper Direct X video drivers loaded for your video card - this is the number one cause of slowdown (see list below for some of the most prevalent video cards that require special Direct X drivers to be downloaded from the video card manufacturer's web site) 2) Make sure all of other programs are closed. 3) Set your display setting for Windows 95 to 640X480 resolution with 16 bit color - you can do this under "Display Settings" in the Windows 95 Control Panel. 4) Try playing in 320X240 Low Resolution with 256 colors - To do this pause the game by hitting F3 or the right mouse button, go to the Setting menu, and then Choose "Display Settings", and choose the "320X240 with 256 colours" option. 5) If you still need an even greater boost in speed - try disabling the crowd sound effect under the "Sound Options" in the Settings Menu. 6) You can also disable all of the other sound effects to increase the speed even more. 7) Increasing the minimum amount of Virtual Memory for Windows 95 will also increase the speed of World Wide Soccer. =============================================================== Q: During gameplay, there are no Sound Effects. How do I fix this?? A: What most likely happened is Microsoft’s Direct X overwrote your sound drivers. Since World Wide Soccer uses Direct X3, your previous drivers are backed up when it installs new drivers. One way you can restore the drivers is to: 1.Double Click on the "My Computer" icon 2.Double Click on the "Control Panel" icon 3.Double Click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon 4.Choose "Direct X Drivers" and then hit the "Add/Remove Programs" button 5.Click on the "Restore Audio Drivers" button Certain sound cards require special Direct X drivers to be downloaded from your sound card manufacturer's web site: 1.
