3D Studio 3.0 Help File: Text Editor Drop-Down Menus

Each entry can contain up to 20 lines, 70 characters long.
Don't use tabs; only use spaces.
This file can be any length.
New Help topics begin with the ">" character, followed by the
numeric code assigned to the topic.

>110 (Current Status)
Current Status displays the size (in bytes) of the current
document and the number of text lines.
>120 (Configure Scripting)
Configure Scripting lets you customize the current configuration
of the Text Editor via a dialog box.
>210 ( New ^N )
New deletes all text from memory. Use this to free up memory
used by the current document before exiting to the 3D Studio
program module.
>220 ( Load ^L )
Load loads a selected ASCII text file from disk, replacing the
current document.
>230 ( Save ^S )
Save saves the current document to disk in an ASCII text file
using the filename and extension you specify.
>240 ( Merge ^M )
Merge loads a selected text file and combines it with text
currently in memory. The merged text appears at the cursor
location.
>250 ( Exit ^Q )
Exit returns you to the program module from where you entered
the Text Editor. It doesn't delete the current document from
memory.
>310 ( Undo @U )
Undo reverses the most recent editing action.
>320 ( Cut @X )
Cut deletes highlighted text and saves it to the clipboard buffer,
where it remains until you next cut or copy text.
>330 ( Copy @C )
Copy copies highlighted text and saves it to the clipboard buffer,
where it remains until you next cut or copy text.
>340 ( Paste @P )
Paste inserts the clipboard text into the current text document at
the cursor location.
>350 ( Delete del )
Delete deletes highlighted text.
>360 ( Select All )
Select All highlights all text in the current document, which you
can then Cut or Copy to the clipboard, or delete with the Delete
command.
>410 ( Help @H )
Help displays the keyboard shortcuts, which you can use to move
the cursor and edit text in the Text Editor.
>420 ( Search @S )
Search locates all instances of a specified text string within the
current document.
>430 ( Replace @R )
Replace locates all instances of a specified text string within the
current document, and then replaces each instance with another
specified text string.
>440 ( Goto @G )
Goto moves the text cursor to a specified line number, or a
previously defined "anchor" point.
>450 ( Drop Anchor @A )
Drop Anchor defines up to five "anchor" points within the
current document, which you can quickly locate with the Goto
command.
>460 ( Match @M )
Match locates the matching closing bracket--either }, ], or )--for
the corresponding opening bracket to the right of the text cursor-
-either {, [, or (.
>470 ( Match & Select @T)
Match locates the matching closing bracket--either }, ], or )--for
the corresponding opening bracket--either {, [, or (--and then
highlights the text between them.
