  3. This is sort of an explanation about while General Manager is so late.
  4. Yes, it SHOULD have been out in December (at least the demo, anyway).
  5. After it was delayed because of reasons beyond our control, extreme bugs
  6. began to crop up. One was the ability to draft more than 29 players in a
  7. season; another was players were shooting approx. 13% in games and
  8. therefore the scores were around 25-30 for a 48 minute match. However,
  9. that is all fixed now. Another huge problem is that three of the five
  10. people in Exile Software left to pursue other careers, leaving a lot of
  11. gaps in the company. The one and probably MAIN reason is that we are
  12. listening to you. We want to make this game SO realistic; so playable
  13. rather than just release an unfinished version. I know so many people
  14. are waiting for it - that is fantastic. But if we were to release it
  15. now, there would be an uproar. The features we are adding are like no
  16. other basketball game ever. Who ever heard of player interviews in a
  17. simulator?

  19. Keep in mind that most games in are development for essentially 24
  20. months. We have been developing this for about 14. Therefore it is
  21. actually unfinished and to get this far we have made great progress.

  23. Because of the obvious lateness of the game, we are also offering the
  24. following offer:

  36. Another month or so the game should at least be finished. Internal Beta
  37. testing is going on now, and ironing out all the bugs (and there are
  38. bugs :P) is usually a long process, possibly a month or two.

  40. Basically Exile Software are imploring people to wait and be patient.
  41. Don't lose faith. General Manager is NOT Vaporware - it WILL be
  42. released. Mechwarrior 2 was over 2 years late. Magic: The Gathering was
  43. over 2 years late. And Stonekeep? Don't ask.

  45. Those three games are very good, and they were delayed. Rewards come to
  46. those that wait - that is a sign we have up in our offices. And it is
  47. good advice.
