  1. TurboLinux 2.0 -> 3.0 Upgrade Procedure

  5. This script will attempt to upgrade your TurboLinux 2.0 system to
  6. TurboLinux 3.0.  You will need either a copy of the TurboLinux 3.0
  7. CD-ROM *or* an internet connection that is fast enough to handle an
  8. upgrade via FTP.
  9.  
  10. This upgrade script should be run from runlevel 1 (single-user mode).
  11. If you are not already in runlevel 1, cancel the upgrade now, do
  12. 'telinit 1' (as root), and re-run this script.
  13.  
  14. If you require network access for doing an FTP install, execute the
  15. command:
  16.  
  17. /etc/rc.d/init.d/network start
  18.  
  19. to bring networking back up after entering runlevel 1 from another
  20. runlevel.

  24. Before upgrading your system, it is recommended, although not
  25. required, that you back up your /etc, /home, /usr/local, and /var
  26. directories.  Pacific HiTech, Inc. is not responsible for any data
  27. loss caused by performing the upgrade - you have been warned.
