  6. INSTALLING THE WINDOWS NT DRIVER
  7. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.  Before installing the driver it is recommended that you backup your disk. 
  9.  Example:  diskcopy a: a:

  11. Steps for installing the Windows NT driver
  12. -------------------------------------------

  14.  1. Bootup Windows NT in VGA.
  15.  
  16.  2. Within the Main folder double click or enter on Control Panel.
  17.  
  18.  3. Select the Display Icon.
  19.  
  20.  4. Double click or Alt-C on "Change Display Driver" button.
  21.  
  22.  5. Select the "Change" button.
  23.  
  24.  6. Select the "Other" button.
  25.  
  26.  7. It will prompt you for a disk in drive a:, put the Imagine 128 Drivers
  27.     disk in drive a: and enter.
  28.  
  29.  8. The "#9 Imagine 128" driver will be highlighted, press install. 
  30.  
  31.  9. A windows will come up about the installing drivers, answer "yes".
  32.  
  33.  10. Press the continue button on Windows NT setup.
  34.  
  35.  11. After the installation is complete, reboot the system.
  36.  
  37.  12. Repeat steps 1-3.

  39.  13. Select desired resolution, color depth and refresh rate, * NOTE * THE 
  40.      RESOLUTION AND REFRESH RATE THAT YOU CHOOSE MUST BE SUPPORTED BY YOUR 
  41.      MONITOR, DAMAGE MAY OCCUR IF YOU GO BEYOND THE LIMITS.

  46. * If the machine startup in vga after the driver has been loaded and fails to load
  47.   the I128.sys file, try changing the IRQ settings in the CMOS of the computer.
  48.   These IRQ settings are the interupts for the devices in the computer. Each computer
  49.   has a different CMOS setup, you will need to read the Manual for the motherboard.

  123. Even though you may have just received your Number Nine software, 
  124. newer versions may be available. Free upgrades are provided to 
  125. all Number Nine customers on the Number Nine Bulletin Board 
  126. System (BBS).

  128. To see if you have the latest version, compare the version number
  129. of your software (on the label of the provided diskette) with the version number of
  130. the corresponding software on the BBS.

  150. The BBS has a separate file area for each Number Nine product.  
  151. The latest driver updates can be found in each product's file 
  152. area, and files of general interest (shareware, etc.) can be 
  153. found in the General library.  An E-mail system is available 
  154. for technical questions about Number Nine products or about 
  155. the BBS in general.  A complete listing of available files can 
  156. be downloaded by invoking the "Download List of Files" command 
  157. from any file library menu.

  159. On the US BBS, RIP graphics are supported, and a RIP compatible 
  160. terminal program is available in the General library (RIPTM154.ZIP).

  162. Many files are self-extracting, but some files will require the 
  163. latest version of PKUNZIP to decompress.  PKUNZIP is available 
  164. in the General library (filename PKZ204G.EXE), and can also be 
  165. found on most on-line services such as Compuserve and America 
  166. Online.
