  12. DESCRIPTION
  13.  
  14. In the tutorial for Excel 5.0, the following error message is received:
  15.  
  16.     CBT could not be executed.
  17.  
  18. RESOLUTION
  19.  
  20. Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change.
  21.  
  22.  1. Open OS/2 System.
  23.  
  24.  2. Open Command Prompts.
  25.  
  26.  3. Select OS/2 Window.
  27.  
  28.  4. Type either CD EXCEL\SETUP to change to the EXCEL\SETUP directory
  29.     for a local installation, or CD EXCEL for a network; then press
  30.     Enter.
  31.  
  32.  5. Type E SETUP.STF and press Enter to edit the SETUP.STF file.
  33.  
  34.  6. Change line 115 to read:
  35.  
  36.        115   Yes   Depend   114 ? 117 1266 : 117 1266
  37.        us    Yes   D:\EXCEL\
  38.  
  39.  7. Save and exit the file.
  40.  
  41.  8. Start a WIN-OS/2 Full Screen session; then run EXCEL SETUP from the
  42.     icon.
  43.  
  44.  9. Select REINSTALL. When the installation is complete, EXCEL CBT is
  45.     ready to run.
  46.  
  47. 10. At an OS/2 command prompt, type either CD OS2\MDOS\WINOS2 to change
  48.     to the \WINOS2 directory, or CD WINDOWS to change to the \WINDOWS
  49.     directory; then press Enter.
  50.  
  51. 11. Type E EXCEL5.INI and press Enter to edit the EXCEL5.INI file.
  52.  
  53. 12. Make sure the CBTLOCATION statement contains x:\EXCEL\EXCELCBT (x
  54.     is the drive where EXCEL is installed); for example,
  55.     CBTLOCATION=C:\EXCEL\EXCELCBT.
  56.  
  57. 13. Save and exit the file.
  58.  
  59. 14. Restart Excel 5.0 for Windows and run the tutorial.
