Setting Up the Weitek P9000 and P9100 for OS/2 Warp
=======================================================================
Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures

DESCRIPTION
Only VGA resolution is available, or WIN-OS/2 cannot be used in high
resolution.
RESOLUTION
Important: The following steps must be performed in the sequence
presented; otherwise, the procedure won't work, and your problem won't
be resolved.
1. Open OS/2 System.
2. Open System Setup.
3. Open Selective Install.
4. Select Primary Display.
5. When Weitek P9000 or Weitek P9100 is highlighted, press V on the
keyboard. Video Graphics Array (VGA) will be highlighted.
6. Click on OK; then click on OK again.
7. At the Installation screen, highlight WinOS2 Support and OS/2 DOS
Support; then click on Install.
8. Shut down and then restart the system.
9. Open OS/2 System.
10. Open System Setup.
11. Open Selective Install.
12. Select Primary Display.
13. Weitek P9000 or Weitek P9100 should be highlighted. Click on OK.
14. Click on OK again; then select Install.
15. Select DEFAULT monitor type and finish the installation.
16. Shut down and then restart the system.
17. Open OS/2 System.
18. Open System Setup.
19. Open System.
20. Select 1024x768x65536 or desired resolution.
21. Close the window.
22. Shut down and then restart the system.
23. Open a WIN-OS/2 Full Screen session.
24. Click on File and then Run...; then type C:\WINDOWS\P91INST.EXE and
click on OK. P91INST.EXE is an installation program. Do not change
any settings except to change 60 Hz to 70 Hz.
25. Click on OK and restart Windows; then exit Windows.
26. At the Desktop:
a. Open OS/2 System.
b. Open Command Prompts.
c. Select OS/2 Window.
27. Type x:\OS2\POWER_9K\P9CNFG.EXE and press Enter (x is the drive
where OS/2 Warp is installed). Do not make any changes except to
change the refresh rate from 60 Hz to 70 Hz.
28. Click on OK to save; then shut down and restart the system.
Note: Steps 14 through 22 must be performed for each resolution
you desire to use.
Your system should start OK. If the fonts are smaller than you like:
1. Move the mouse pointer to an empty spot on the Desktop and click the
right mouse button.
2. Select Settings and then Change font... .
3. Select the desired font in the Name and Size fields.
4. Close the Settings notebook.
