  13. DESCRIPTION
  14.  
  15. Print job does not appear in print queue, or appears in queue and 
  16. disappears, or stays in queue. No error messages are received. This 
  17. problem occurs for both local and network printing.
  18.  
  19. RESOLUTION
  20.  
  21. The problem could be caused by interrupt-request (IRQ) conflicts or 
  22. port or cable problems, but the most probable cause is that the printer 
  23. drivers or INI files have been damaged. First make sure there are no 
  24. IRQ conflicts or problems with ports or cables; then do the following 
  25. procedures.

  27. Printer-Driver Resolution
  28. -------------------------
  29. 1. Click mouse button 2 on the printer icon.
  30.  
  31. 2. Select Settings; then click on the Printer driver tab.  
  32.               
  33. 3. Click mouse button 2 on each driver and select Delete.
  34.  
  35.    Note: You don't have to delete FXPRINT or IBMNULL, but if you do,
  36.          you can reinstall them.
  37.  
  38. 4. Close the Settings notebook; then drag the printer icon to the
  39.    Shredder.
  40.  
  41. 5. Reinstall your printer and drivers using templates. (See User's
  42.    Guide to OS/2 Warp for instructions.)
  43.  
  44. INI-File Resolution
  45. -------------------
  46. Note: Remember that the new initialization information will be reset to
  47.       the default settings for OS/2. Any customization will be lost.
  48.  
  49.  1. Turn on your computer.
  50.  
  51.  2. Press Alt+F1 when the small white box appears in the upper-left
  52.     corner.
  53.  
  54.  3. Press C for a command prompt.
  55.  
  56.  4. Type CD\OS2 and press Enter.
  57.  
  58.  5. Type ATTRIB -s -h -r OS2*.INI and press Enter.
  59.  
  60.  6. Type REN OS2.INI OS2.OLD and press Enter.
  61.  
  62.  7. Type MAKEINI OS2.INI INI.RC and press Enter.
  63.  
  64.  8. Type REN OS2SYS.INI OS2SYS.OLD and press Enter.
  65.  
  66.  9. Type MAKEINI OS2SYS.INI INISYS.RC and press Enter.

  68. 10. Shut down and then restart your system.
