  13. DESCRIPTION
  14.  
  15. On the AMS 5300 series laptops, the comma (,) and period (.) characters
  16. are not displayed when their keys are pressed. A symbol is displayed 
  17. instead. The uppercase characters, < and > are displayed correctly when
  18. the Shift key is used.

  20. RESOLUTION
  21.  
  22. This is not an OS/2 code problem. The system board might have an 
  23. incompatible controller chip. It is the actual chip, not the BIOS, that
  24. controls the keyboard and mouse for the system. The problem also could 
  25. be related to the wrong video-mode setup on the system; for example, 
  26. when a video card with the WD90C24 chip set is set to the mono mode 
  27. instead of the 256K VGA mode for systems running VGA and 8514 video 
  28. modes.
