  4.      Losing Access to Toshiba 5302B CD-ROM During Installation

  9. DESCRIPTION
  10.  
  11. During installation, you are prompted to reinsert the CD-ROM, but it is 
  12. currently in the drive. This message is displayed after the first half 
  13. of the install is complete and you are prompted to remove the 
  14. diskette.   
  15.  
  16. RESOLUTION
  17.  
  18. In some cases, the installation will continue after a restart. If not, 
  19. do the following:
  20.  
  21.  Make sure the following statements are in the CONFIG.SYS file:
  22.  
  23.      BASEDEV=IBMIDECD.FLT
  24.      DEVICE=N:\OS2\BOOT\OS2CDROM.DMD (where N: is the drive that OS/2 
  25.                                                           is installed on)
  26.      IFS=CDFS.IFS
  27.      BASEDEV=IBM1S506.ADD
  28.  
  29. To edit the CONFIG.SYS file, restart the system and press Alt-F1 when 
  30. 'OS/2' and the white rectangle appear in the top left corner of the 
  31. screen. Choose F2 to exit to a command prompt.  
  32.  
  33. From the root directory of the startup drive, type TEDIT CONFIG.SYS, 
  34. then press Enter. Press Esc and make the necessary changes to the 
  35. file.  Press F4 to save and exit the file, then restart the system to 
  36. continue the installation.
