  13. DESCRIPTION
  14.  
  15. When installing OS/2 on Texas Instruments' Notebook computers, 
  16. TI4000/30, 4000/40, and 4000/50, the following error message is 
  17. received:
  18.  
  19.    COUNTRY.SYS on diskette 1 while installing OS/2.
  20.  
  21. RESOLUTION
  22.  
  23. Go to CMOS Advanced settings and change the following in Advanced 
  24. Options:
  25.  
  26.    Power Savings     = Off
  27.    Time Out Interval = On
  28.    HDmotor Timeout   = On
  29.    LCD Power         = Low
  30.    Advanced OS Power = Off
  31.    External cache    = Off
  32.    Turbo             = Off
  33.  
  34. Notes:

  36. 1. All settings can be returned to normal after installation.
  37.  
  38. 2. The Power savings switch in the TI4000/33 is not compatible with OS/2
  39.    2.1 Power Management software, and should not be used.
