OSINPMT2 - OS/2 PMTAPE VERSION 2 LOCKS UP IF OS/2 IS ON DRIVE D:
OR ABOVE
06/13/96
=======================================================================
OS/2 PMTape Version 2 Locks Up if OS/2 is on Drive D: or Above
=======================================================================
Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedure
-------------------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION
When OS/2 is installed on a drive other than C:, the system locks up or
fails to see the tape drive when opening the application.
RESOLUTION
The OS/2 PMTape Version 2 installation program automatically updates
whatever CONFIG.SYS file is on the C: drive. If you have OS/2 installed
on a drive other than C:, the CONFIG.SYS file in that drive is not
updated.
After installing PMTape Version 2, add the following lines to the
CONFIG.SYS file on the drive where you have installed PMTape:
Device = X:\pmtape\ip2idrv.sys
Run = X:\pmtape\itdmn.exe
where X: is the drive where you installed PMTape.
Shut down and restart your system. The problem should be solved.
