  12. DESCRIPTION
  13.  
  14. The NEC 4XI CD-ROM is not working correctly on a system with an 
  15. NCR53C810 controller.
  16.  
  17. RESOLUTION
  18.  
  19. Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change.
  20.  
  21. 1. Contact your vendor and get the file, NCR-SCSI.ZIP.
  22.  
  23. 2. Unpack the file, OS2CAM.ADD, and copy it to the OS2\BOOT directory.
  24.  
  25. 3. At a command prompt, type E CONFIG.SYS and press Enter to edit the
  26.    CONFIG.SYS file.
  27.  
  28. 4. Make sure the file contains the following statements:
  29.  
  30.       BASEDEV=OS2DASD.DMD
  31.       BASEDEV=OS2SCSI.DMD
  32.       DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\OS2CDROM.DMD /V
  33.       BASEDEV=OS2CAM.ADD
  34.       IFS=C:\OS2\BOOT\CDFS.IFS /Q
  35.  
  36.    Use SCSI ID 3, 4, or 5 for the CD-ROM.
  37.  
  38. Note: Contact your vendor for assistance. OS/2 does not support the
  39.       OS2CAM.ADD driver.
