OSINNE20 - SELECTIVE INSTALL LOCKS UP WITH NE2000 ETHERNET CARD
01/29/96
=======================================================================
Selective Install Locks Up with NE2000 Ethernet Card
All OS/2 Releases
=======================================================================
Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures
--------------------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION
A system with an NE2000 Ethernet card locks up during Selective Install,
just before displaying the screen for hard disk space.
RESOLUTION
The NE2000 card uses 320H as the default port address, which causes the
lockup during Selective Install. You need to change the port address
(for example, 300H, 340H, 300H) and the IRQ.
The requester settings need to be changed in NETCFG.
Refer to the documentation that came with the adapter, or contact the
vendor, for additional information.
